What is the meaning of 7 Star Hotel in the hotel industry?
7 Star Hotels are hotels with the highest level of luxury and comfort available in the world. Officially there is no classification for 7-star hotels and the term 7 Star Hotel, has often been rather described as a marketing scheme than a hotel classification or rating, as it is not appointed by a specific institution according to the openly agreed criteria.
In the recent past, hotels have given this title themselves in order to differentiate themselves further and find words to describe an excessive, handful amount of luxury, not to be found in traditional five-star hotels. Although no guidelines exist – being located in a building of high significance or representation to the area it is located as a commonality among 7-star hotels.
Most famously known as a 7 Star Hotel(acclaimed by themselves), is the Burj Al Arab, operated by the Jumeirah Group located in the cities of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Recently companies have begun setting up criteria for 7-star hotels – though their classification is still not widely accepted in the hotel industry.
