The AAA Five Diamond Award is an autonomous hotel accredition scheme rewarded by the AAA (American Automobile Association) to hotels in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. It can be compared to the 5 Star Classification system, known in Europe, India and other parts of the world. Within the AAA Diamonds Award there is a 5 tier placing system that is taken in consideration in the program. The number of diamonds a hotel receives is based on expected criteria in quality of service, comfort, luxury and style.
