What is the definition of Stay in the hotel industry?
Stay is the period of time that a consumer stays in a guest room of a lodge. Stay is your all night stay at a hotel where you will need a lodging to stay despite of the number of nights.
For example, whether if you are staying at a hotel for 2, 5, 10 days or even 2 weeks, that is still calculated as 1 stay. If you stay at the hotel 10 times and stay 1 night each time you visit, that will be added up as 10 stays.
This is the cause why hotel commerce also have a ALOS (Avarage length of stay) in order to compute the length of stay of their visitors in the hotel.
